Heat olive oil in a pan and lightly toast garlic, about 1 min. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Combine finely chopped tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper and basil in a small bowl and mix in cooled garlic and oil.
Toast bread in oven on broiler for about 1 min per side, until lightly toasted
Spoon tomato mixture over toasted bread and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, serve immediately.
