Swedish sugar Christmas cookies, rolled in red sugar or nuts. My grandmother Disa Carlson's recipe.
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolk and beat well. Add vanilla and flour, mix well.
Roll into log (~ 2 inch diameter), divide into two rolls. Roll in red sugar, or chopped nuts. Let stand in refrigerator over night. Cut into thin slices. Bake at 350° F about 7-10 minutes until a nice color (just golden or a little lighter)
