Ammi's home made recipe
Melt gelatine in hot water leave to cool
Cook sugar and butter until sugar melts and becomes golden brown Caramel colour
Add hot milk
Take off fire
Beat egg yolks and add to milk
Return to fire and cook until it becomes a custard do not boil
Leave aside until cool
Add dissolved gelatine and essence
Put in fridge until partly set
Whip egg whites until stiff
Fold into custard
Pour into dish and set
