Suggest a better description1) cream together your butter and shortening.
2) mix in vanilla
3) slowly beat in most of your confectioners sugar.( I would suggest using an electric mixer at this point.)
4) mix in milk.
5) mix in the rest of your confectioners sugar.
6) add in heavy cream (optional)
