Easy to make (around 15 minutes)
Place your designated cut of steak on a board for seasoning. Add a little Montreal steak seasoning to taste and the same thing with your salt of choice. Heat up a pan (around medium heat). Once pan is warming up add a tablespoon of unsalted butter. Move butter around until the whole pan is covered with it. Add steak and turn the heat up to medium-high for the steak to develop a crust. On the side of the pan put a few 6 inch pieces of thyme and a peeled clove of garlic. Mix everything and turn heat down to low-medium. Add a little bit of butter and place thyme and garlic on the steak. When the sides of the steak begin to change color flip it. Add a little butter and put the same thyme and garlic on the top facing side of the steak. Continue cooking until the sides have a slight red for a medium rare steak.
Watch the steak to avoid it being raw or overcooked.
