To make dressing: Place all ingredients except olive oil into a blender and puree. Add olive oil in a slow stream and blend until smooth. Chill.
To make croutons: Preheat oven to 350F. Place bread cubes in a large bowl. Toss with butter and spices until evenly coated. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet, and bake until crisp and golden brown, stirring occasionally.
To make salad: Saute corn kernels in olive oil over medium-high heat until tender and slightly browned. Cool. In a large bowl, toss the lettuce with the dressing until evenly coated. Add corn, red bell peppers, tomatoes and croutons; toss again. Garnish with Romano cheese.
