Prepare cake mix according to instructions, except omit water. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a cooking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Roll dough into 1" balls and place on cookie sheet 3" apart. These cookies will spread out during baking. Cook for 6-9 minutes, until light brown. Do not over-bake. Allow to cool for several minutes. When cookies are just slightly warm, spread a thick layer of frosting onto each cookie and decorate with sprinkles. Allow the cookies to cool down and the frosting will harden up. They can be stored for several days in a container with a tight-fitting lid.
