Suggest a better descriptionDrain pineapple, reserving 1/4 cup of the syrup. Line sides of 10x6 baking dish with pineapple slightly over-lapping; arrange yams in center. Pour pineapple syrup over yams. Combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; stir in nuts. Sprinkle over yams. Bake at 350 F, 25 minutes, until lightly brown. Top with marshmallows and broil until lightly brown (watch carefully!).
Delicious as vegetable casserole for Thanksgiving or Christmas!
Make sure and drain pineapple well or gets too soupy.
