Soak cucumbers in 1/2 Cup Salt Water overnight in a covered pan.
Boil lids and jars.
Boil 5 quarts of water, 1 quart of white vinegar, 1 1/2 cups salt.
Pour Mixture over cucumbers (packed in hot jar).
Immediately put hot lids on jars and close tightly.
