Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 350. In a large bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, flour, oats, salt, and baking soda.
Take 3/4 of mixture and press into a 13x18 (half sheet) cookie sheet, pressing up on the sides. Bake for 8 minutes. Let cool, then pour on caramel and spread evenly. Sprinkle on chocolate chips, then sprinkle remaining cookie mixture on top.
Bake an additional 10-12 minutes.
