Bring butter, brown sugar and cream to boil. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Set pan in bottom of sink filled with ~ 1" cold water and ice cubes. Using hand-held mixture, add powdered sugar as needed to make frosting.
Cold water and ice cubes helps frosting base to cool more rapidly.
