Chuck Rockwood Christmas Cookie
Heat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix oats, brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup, vanilla and salt.
Spread in greased baking pan, 9x9x2 inches.
Bake until bubbly, about 8 minutes.
Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Let stand until soft; spread evenly, Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
Cut into bars, 2x1 inch .
Store in refrigerator.
