Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Bring brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt to a boil. Boil 5 minutes, cool a little then add vanilla and baking soda. Stir, it will bubble, pour over popcorn. Place in a large roaster or on a pan and bake 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes. Store in a sealed container.
