Aunt Joanna's recipe
1. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Grease and flour (3) 8" pans.
3. Sift together flour, sugar, soda, cinnamon and salt.
4. Add oil and eggs one at a time, beating well after each egg.
5. Stir in carrots and raisins.
6. Pour into pans and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
7. Allow cakes to cool on wire rack.
8. Mix together frosting ingredients and spread between cake layers, sides and top.
