Heat oven to 350. Grease 10" springform pan or 10" round cake pan. Line bottom with wax paper. Grease paper.
Combine raisins and bourbon in small bowl; set aside.
Sift flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves.
Beat sugar and oil in large bowl on medium speed until blended. Add eggs one at a time, scraping side and bottom of bowl after each addition. At low speed, beat in dry ingredients just until combined. Drain raisins, discard bourbon. Add raisins, carrots, and pecans. At medium speed, beat 5 minutes more until batter is well blended.
Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Remove cake from pan after cooking for 15 minutes. Cool completely.
Frosting: combine and mix well until light and fluffy.
