Add all vegetables and seasonings, except ginger, to the water. Cook until vegetables are cooked through and soft. Remove from heat and using a hand mixer or hand-held food processor, turn into a thick well-blended paste. Add enough hot water to regain desired consistency. Mix well. Place back on stove top, over medium heat until boiling, stirring frequently. Once boiling temperature is reached, reduce heat and simmer for five minutes. Add more water if necessary and stir. Prior to serving add a dollop of ginger to each bowl.
An additional ingredient to add if desired prior to serving is to add roasted onion to each bowl.
Very important to keep the right consistency and blend the cooked vegetables to a paste.
