If the cast iron is new, wash in warm soapy water & dry.
Preheat the oven to 325
Generously coat cookware with vegetable oil, bake 1 hour. Remove skillet from the oven, rub to redistribute the oil. Place back in the oven 1 more hour. Remove from oven & wipe with paper towels to remove excess oil, cool before storing.
STORE IN A COOL DRY PLACE WITH PAPER TOWELS BELOW & ABOVE TO PROTECT SHELVES.
