This is my mom's recipe
1. Place potato, cauliflower, carrot, garlic, onion, salt and water (broth) in large saucepan. Bring to boil, then simmer until veggies are tender. Puree in blender and transfer to pot.
2. Add all remaining ingredients to puree and heat gently.
If you want it more chunky, hold back 2 cups of cauliflower from the puree, steam it and then add to puree with all the other remaining ingredients.
Can also definitely use broccoli.
Mom's notes:
Can cut the cheese instead of grating. Best cheese is extra sharp.
be careful not to fill the blender too much and make sure cover is down tight.
she uses 1/2 & 1/2 for the milk.
