It surprised me how yummy this combination is!
Using only half an apple puts it in the 15 carb snack category needed for diabetes.
1. Slice Apples length wise (and toss the core).
2. Put cheese on top
3. Microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute (or longer if you like your cheese to be a touch crunchy).
4. Enjoy!
I like to use a thin slice of deli cheese (sometimes 2 slices pending how thin it is) - and then break apart to lay a bit on each slice of apple and then I microwave for 1 minute.
