Creamy casserole and a great way to use cabbage
Toss the cornflakes and butter; sprinkle half into a greased 13x9x2 baking dish. Layer with the cabbage, onion, salt and pepper. In a bowl, combine the soup, milk and mayonnaise until smooth. Spoon over top; sprinkle with cheese and remaining cornflake mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 350 F for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
Note: Reduced-fat or fat-free mayonnaise may NOT be substituted for regular mayonnaise.
Ensure that you use enough salt and pepper. My personal opinion is that the recipe is light in these ingredients.
