This is a very heavy cheese cake that our mom, Carmen Rose Garcia Sauer, used to make. We (this four sisters) were so happy to finally find the recipe again after mom died.

Mix ingredients for crust and line bottom of 9" spring form pan or 12 x 9" pan.
Save a 1/4 cup of mixture for top of torte.
Beat cottage cheese until creamy.
Add sugar, eggs, salt, lemon juice, cream & flour.
Almond extract may be added
Pour mixture into crust & sprinkle with remaining graham cracker mixture
Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees
Turn off heat and LEAVE IN OVEN until cooled.
