Suggest a better descriptionBrown ground turkey and onion in large pot over medium heat. Drain; set aside. In same pot, saute celery, carrots, parsley, and basil in 4 tablespoons butter. When veggies are tender, add chicken bouillon and water. Bring to a boil to dissolve. Add diced potatoes and beef; simmer 10-12 minutes. In the meantime, in a double boiler melt 8 Tablespoons butter, stir in flour until paste forms. Whisk in milk; cook until thickened. Add american cheese one slice at a time and whisk until melted each time. Add 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and smooth. Add the cheese mixture to the soup. Bring to a boil one more time. Add last cup of shredded cheddar and salt and pepper. Cook and stir until cheese is melted. Serve hot!
