Crust: Cream butter and brown sugar. Add flur and nuts and blend into crumbs. Press crumbs into an 8" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and set aside.
Filling: Combine sugar and cream cheese; beat until smooth. Add egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla. Beat well. Spread over baked crust and return to oven for approximately 25 minutes longer. Cool and cut into bars.
To double recipe, use a 9" X 13" baking pan.
