This is a casserole that is very budget conscious. It is similar to scalloped potatoes but due to the hot dogs it has a nice smokey flavor. Good and Filling.
Peel and thinly slice potatoes. Boil until almost tender. Mean while, melt butter and stir in flour. When smooth and creamy add warm milk a little at a time stirring constantly.
When potatoes are cooked drain and combine with the white sauce. Sprinkle in spices. Slice hot dogs thinly and combine all together.
Bake at 350 until bubbly and golden.
This recipe can be made ahead and put in fridge to keep. The baking time will be longer. I have had the best flavor with Oscar Mayer wieners. They have more smokey flavor.
