Pour cold milk and 1/4 teaspoon of the almond extract into a large bowl. Add pudding mix. Beat with a wire whisk for 2 minutes. Stir in Cool Whip and 1 tablespoon of the chopped almonds. Mix cherry pie filling and remaining 1/4 teaspoon of the almond extract. Layer by spooning mixture and pie filling alternately into 6 dessert glasses. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
