Bake 10-12 minutes
Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla together
Spread over hot dough in baking dish
Spread cherry pie filling over cream cheese mixture
Unroll remaining crescent dough and lay on top of pie filling
Combine 1 tablespoon sugar, almonds, and butter and sprinkle over the top
Bake 35-45 minutes until golden brown
