Heat 1 tsp oil in a large nonstick skillet over med heat. Add tomatoes to pan; cook until tomatoes begin to wrinkle. Sprinkle with garlic powder and garlic; cook 30 sec. Cover; reduce heat to low.
Cook pasta, and add to tomato mixture. Add 2 tsp oil, basil, pine nuts, salt, and pepper; stir to combine.
Serve immediately.
