My mother made this simple pie when we were growing up. It's still good.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Make pie crust (or defrost) and prick and place in oven to brown slightly (5 to 9 minutes). Beat eggs until lemon colored. Sift dry ingredients and pour slowly into the egg mixture. Beat well. Add melted margarine. Add vanilla. Pour custard mixture into pie shell and bake until firm and browned on top.
