Preheat oven to 400. Cream butter and sugar in electric mixer on medium until lite and fluffy. Beat in egg, vanilla, flour,making soda, and salt. Stir in oats, raisins and pecans by hand until well mixed. Mixture will be stiff.
Put mixture into a greased 9x9 x2 inch baker. Spread evenly and bake for 12 minutes cool and cut.
