A very tasty version of the normal Chicken Alfredo recipe.
1. Soften the cream cheese by either leaving it to warm to room temperature or putting it in the microwave.
2. Put the half and half in a pan and put it on medium heat.
3. Then melt the butter in the microwave and add to the pan of half and half.
3.5 - Place the Penne pasta in a pan of boiling water and follow directions on box.
4. Place the cream cheese into the pan. It will take a long time to melt. Constantly stir it and break it down until it's dissolved.
5. Mix in the Parmesan cheese and stir. Then add the garlic and onion powder (suit to taste)
6. Let it simmer.
7. Place the cut chicken (1 inch strips) into a pan and cook. You might want to season accordingly with salt and pepper, and maybe some cajun spices as well.
8. Turn sauce onto lowest setting and wait 4 minutes for it to thicken.
All you need to do is mix them all together and serve. This recipe tastes just as good - if not better - than what you can get at places such as Applebee's if you know how to season it.
Make sure you season well. Don't be afraid of the garlic and onion powder. Real garlic works even better.
