Suggest a better descriptionCut up the chicken into 8 individual pieces and season with salt. In a saucepan, heat the oil and fry the chicken pieces and onions, turning until the chicken is evenly browned. Stir in the tomatoes and cook for about 3 minutes. Add the mushrooms and stir well for one minute. Add the water and simmer slowly for about 30 minutes, until the chicken is more tender and nearly cooked. Put the peanut butter into a bowl with enough boiling water to blend it into a smooth, runny paste. Add this paste and the chilli when the chicken is tender and almost cooked. Mix in well and simmer on a low heat, stirring regularly to avoid lumps and burning. Cook for about 20 minutes. When the sauce has thickened and the chicken is cooked, serve hot with rice.
