Combines all of the ingredients in a large pot or crock-pot, topping with water LAST.
(if you don't need 4 cups of water, that's fine... 4 cups worked best for me but a different amount may work better for you.)
Stir to combine.
Cook slowly for at least 1 1/2 hours on the stove or on a low setting on the crock-pot until the chicken and sausage are finished and you can cut them with the spoon or ladle you use to stir/serve.
Stir occasionally if prepared on the stove top.
when you add the hot sauce... IT IS NOT FOR SPICE. This dish will not be spicy. If you would like it spicy, adjust the hot sauce or add a pepper of your choice! ENJOY!!!!
