Mama's chicken and wild rice soup - perfect for fall.
Cook the wild rice mixture according to the directions. Heat the butter or oil in a dutch oven or large pot and add the flour all at once. Whisk until smooth, and cook for about 5 minutes or until the flour is cooked but not at all browned. Add the broth, milk or cream, and wine. Whisk to blend completely. Add the cooked wild rice and cooked chicken to the broth. Stir well. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes.
