Hearty and comforting winter casserole.
Chop chicken into small pieces. Fry until cooked through. Remove from pan. Fry onion and bacon. Add the flour. Add in a quarter of the canned soup and stir to combine. Place chicken, onion and bacon mixture into a casserole dish. Add in all ingredients except cheese. Cover and cook in oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle cheese over the top, then allow the cheese to brown for about 5 minutes.
Variations.
Add mushrooms, corn or peas..
Ensure that there is enough liquid to cover the chicken when baking it.
