Easy way to make New Orleans style Gumbo with Rice. I like Gumbo but to lazy to make it the traditional way that takes hours. Using a pressure cooker and BlueRunner Gumbo base adding chicken & sausage taste just as good.
Use pressure cooker with some water to cook chicken thighs.
Drain water and debone thighs put back in pressure cooker, slice up sausage add to pot, add both cans of blue runner gumbo.
Set cook time to 30 min, after its finished let sit in warm mode for 3 hrs.
While gumbo cooks use rice cooker, 2 cups rice with 2 1/4 cups water, set and cook till it beeps, then fluff rice while hot.
