...or should we say, Chili Chili Jam Jam? Either way, this is a "Jammin" chilli recipe!
In a dutch oven or similar heavy-bottomed pot, cook meat until no pink is seen, remove & drain.
Return pot to stove and add oil, heat on medium high, add onions & bell pepper, cook until just tender. Add green chilies.
Drain liquid from beans & add to pot.
Add tomato paste, then fill each (empty) can of paste w hot water, (stir to get all paste left in can blended w water), add to pan.
Add seasonings and jam. Stir until well blended.
Add cooked meat, stir. Allow to cook on low for 30 minutes, then add beans, continue to cook on low for 20 minutes.
We use Smucker's Blackberry Jam, but I'm sure any would work as long as it is seedless.
