My standard chili recipe from my original West Bend Slo-Cooker Plus Cookbook - excellent
Brown ground beef over medium heat and place in crock pot/slo-cooker. Add onion, green pepper, garlic, tomatoes, kidney beans, salt, chili powder, pepper and cumin. Stir to combine. Cover and simmer for 7 to 10 hours.
Garnish with shredded cheese and/or onions or whatever if desired.
I usually add 1 small can tomato paste for a thicker chili.
