Our version of the popular chinese lettuce wraps. We add some Mexico City cooking sauce to add some depth and extra flavor to this delicious classic. Provecho!
- In a wok, add 2 tablespoons of oil. Stir fry the chicken and pork meat until all the liquid has evaporated, about 8 minutes. Transfer mixture to a plate.
- Add onion, mushrooms and stir fry for 4 minutes or until soft. Add bamboo shoots and celery; stir to mix. Return meat to wok and stir fry with other ingredients over high heat for 1 minute. Add water, soy sauce, salt, sugar, Mexico City sauce and cornstarch. Mix well together and cook for 2 minutes. Serve in individual plates over fried noodles and the lettuce leaves on the side.
- To make a wrap, just add a couple of spoonfuls of the meat and noodle mixture to a lettuce leaf; wrap the leaf around the mixture and eat. Provecho!
