Ma's recipe
Preheat oven to 200 degC. Line 2 baking trays with non-stick paper. Cream softened butter, caster sugar,
and brown sugar until smooth , light and fluffy. Beat in eggs. Sift in plain flour in two batches, salt and bicarb of soda. Stir in oats and choc bits until evenly distributed. Spoon tablespoonfuls of the mixture into balls and place on the lined trays. Press down slightly.
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until light golden and cooked. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze
