Try this Choco-Peanut Bars recipe, or contribute your own.
Suggest a better descriptionMore Back of the Box Gourmet By Michael McLaughlin These easy bars have a lot of different flavors and textures going on (the oats in particular are a nice touch), but the Bakers chocolate is the essential ingredient. Labeled semi-sweet, its always seemed to me to fall closer to the bittersweet end of the chocolate scale--a state of affairs that really suits my palate. The recipe also makes a lot of bars, which suits my appetite as well. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix sugar, margarine, 1/4 cup peanut butter and vanilla. Stir in oats. Press into lightly greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch jelly roll pan. Bake 10 minutes; cool 5 minutes. Stir together remaining peanut butter and chocolate; spread over crust. Sprinkle with peanuts. Chill; cut into bars. APPROXIMATELY 3 dozen Posted to MM-Recipes Digest V4 #6 by janet
