In small heavy saucepan over low heat melt butter and chocolate.
Stir until smooth, set aside.
With whisk, beat eggs, sugar, corn syrup, and flour just to mix.
Add chocolate, rum, vanilla, and pecans mix well.
Pour into pie shell.
Turn some nuts round side up. Bake on bottom rack in preheated 350 degree oven for 45 to 50 minutes until barely set (top still soft to touch).
Remove from oven to cool. Filling will set as it cools.
