Sift together:
1 3/4 cup cake flour
1 3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
Make a well and add:
1/2 cup mazola oil
7 unbeaten egg yolks
2 tsp vanilla
Beat until smooth
In mixing bowl beat:
1 cup egg whites
1 tsp cream of tartar
Beat till very stiff
Pour egg yolk mixture gradually over whites gently folding with spatula until blended. Pour into 10" ungreased tube pan, bake at 325° for 65 minutes
