Suggest a better description1. In large bowl, blend together butter, sugars and eggs. 2. In med bowl, sift flour with salt. 3. In small bowl, dissolve baking soda in hot water and add to creamed mixture alternately with flour mixture. Add vanilla and chocolate chips. 4. Drop onto ungreased baking sheet (dont flatten) and bake at 350F for 15-20 mins until golden. Remove to rack to cool. Crispy on the edges, soft and chewy in the middle - yum!
