This was my mother's chocolate chip cookie recipe. It comes from her old Betty Crocker Cookbook. The initial amount is from the cookbook. The amount in (parenthesis) is the doubled amount.
Beat butter, egg, sugars and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients, blend well.
Add nust and chocolate chips.
Drop onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 8-10 minutes at 375-degrees.
