Chocolate Chip Cookies
1. Cream shortening, margarine, sugar together with a mixer.
2. Add eggs and mix well.
3. Stir flour, soda, salt together. Slowly add to other mixture. This will be fairly stiff.
4. Add chocolate chips last and mix by hand.
5. Form into balls, about 1 inch each. (Can also drop by rounded teaspoons full 2 inches apart.)
6. Put about 9-12 balls on greased cookie sheet. Press down a little with a fork. So fork doesn't stick, put it in a little flour first.
7. Bake at 375 degrees 8-10 minutes or till light brown. Watch closely! Cool slightly before removing from pan.
Put on newspaper on your counter to cool. (A couple sheets). They will stick to wax paper. Newspaper helps get "grease" out too.
