Mix butter, sugars, egg and vanilla thoroughly.
Blend Dry ingredients with wet.
Mix in chips.
Drop teaspoon of dough 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes.
Let stand a minute before removing from sheet
Makes 4-5 Dozen
Variation add 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy.
