2. Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper
3. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside
4. In medium bowl, cream together melted butter, brown and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg and egg yolk until light and creamy
5. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips
6. Drop cookie dough onto cookie sheet about 3" apart
7. Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly toasted. Cool on wire racks
