Suggest a better descriptionCream shortening and sugars. Add beaten egg. Add cold water and vanilla. Sift and add dry ingredients. Add oatmeal, coconut, nuts and chocolate chips. Bake at 350F for 12-15 minutes.
To make colorful gum drop cookies, omit chocolate chips and nuts and increase coconut to 1/2 cup. Also good with craisins.
