Suggest a better descriptionHeat the oil in a medium pot until it reaches 350 degrees F – Making sure you have enough space (depth and width) in the pot to fry the taquitos.
Place 1 tablespoon of chocolate in a line down the center of each tortilla. Roll the tortilla up to create a long, skinny taquito. Insert into a toothpick through the rolled tortilla so it stays together while frying. If needed, cut the taquito in half so it will fit in the pot.
In a flat bowl/dish, stir together the sugar and cinnamon. Set right next to the stove.
Fry the taquitos until they are crispy and turn golden brown, about 3 minutes. Remove the taquitos from the oil and immediately roll them around in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, being sure to completely coat the taquito. Remove the toothpick from the taquito.
Repeat with the remaining tortillas and chocolate. Once finished, serve the taquitos with some of the leftover melted chocolate for dipping.
These can be made up to 5 hours in advance.
4 large Taquitos, 8 smaller ones if you cut them in half
