1. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a bowl; set aside.
2. Beat butter at medium speed. Gradually add sugar, beating until well blended. Add vanilla and egg and beat well. Add Flour mixture, stir until well blended.
3. Wrap dough in waxed paper, shape int 6" log freeze 3 hours.
4. Preheat oven to 350F.
5. Roll log in turbinado sugar, cut into 24 cookies. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
